Dependency Files

One or more of these files may be needed to run any of the given programs on this site. If you receive an error relating to one of these files, download it and read the readme.txt file that comes in the zip file. It will tell you how to install the dependency file.

.NET 2.0 Framework • Go to Page Most of the newer applications on this website require this framework. From Microsoft: The .NET Framework version 2.0 improves scalability and performance of applications with improved caching, application deployment and updating with ClickOnce, support for the broadest array of browsers and devices with ASP.NET 2.0 controls and services.

Visual Basic Runtime Files • Download Visual Basic Runtime Files These are the basic dll and ocx files needed to run Visual Basic programs. If you don't have VB installed on your computer, you will probably need these files unless another program you have downloaded installed them already.

comdlg32.ocx • Download This is a file to get the neat open and save dialog windows. This is used in a few of the programs here.

mscomctl.ocx • Download This is an extended set of controls used in more advanced programs created in VB.

msmask32.ocx • Download A control that allows filters input based on a ruleset.

richtx32.ocx • Download This control allows you to use the Rich Text Box in your applications.

mswinsck.ocx • Download This control allows for socket connections in Windows (winsockets). For people that don't know what winsockets are, they are a way for windows to connect to other computers and receive data over networks.

msinet.ocx • Download This control is for an older version of StorURL's Scan URL function. Download it if you have an old version of StorURL.

scrrun.dll • Download This file lets programs use the FileSystemObject which is easier to code file reading and sorting functions.

kedatray.ocx • Download Kedaman's OCX file to put the program in the system tray instead of the taskbar. A wrapper for the notifyicon APIs.

All Dependencies • Download All of the dependency files on this page except the VB Runtime Files and .NET framework. Download this if you think you are missing more than one of the above files from your system.
